We are aware of recent media coverage of an annual report that trivialises and undermines the findings of the Board. Scrutiny bodies provide oversight of places of detention and the treatment of those within them. As IMBs have a presence in prisons and immigration detention facilities all year round, their observations are an essential part of that oversight.
