HMP Rye Hill’s long term commitment to meaningful outcomes paying off
In its 2023-24 annual report, published on 13 September 2024, the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) for HMP Rye Hill has found that the priority given to building a long-term community amongst prisoners has enabled the prison to continue the progress made over recent years and improve outcomes for prisoners.

Positive prisoner engagement at HMP Rye Hill
In its 2022-23 annual report published today, the Independent Monitoring Board at HMP Rye Hill highlights a number of positive initiatives that have been rolled out over the reporting year, creating a greater sense of community within the prison. The Board has also seen improved relationships between staff and prisoners, and excellent palliative care initiatives and family liaison activity.
